Jägermeister is a brand name that sits at the heart of many an evening for us all. So we were delighted when we were asked to help conceptualise a more contemporary visual identity. An absolute dream of a brief!

The focus of this experimental project was to give the brand a modern and distinctive facelift, whilst maintaining the key historical elements and instantly recognisable features of the brand.

Reimagining the stag

The historical logo was inspired from the story of St Hubertus, who’s love and respect for nature was born from a vision of a mighty stag carrying a glowing cross between it’s antlers. So it was important to design a logo progression that maintain this icon stag scene, whilst uplifting the logo with a modern and classy design and typeface.

A lot of bottle!

In the 1930s Jägermeister’s original Meister, Curt Mass, discovered the iconic bottle style by dropping different bottles on the floor until a single style remained. We honoured that process by designing a bottle that would not only stand the test of gravity, but would still stand out against a busy bar back in bars and clubs.
